What Are Bach Flower Remedies?

Bach flower remedies were designed by a Dr Edward Bach (thus named after him) to help relieve stress and emotional imbalances in humans and even animals. These remedies using flower essences that Dr Bach created have been in use for almost a few decades short of a century. The fact that both human beings and animals can benefit from this therapy method is amazing in itself, as not many other natural treatments that stem from homeopathy might be able to provide the same kind of results. There are also usually no side effects and little negative results from their use, since they are not artificially produced medicines or cures that might mutate what our bodies were originally designed for and respond to.

How did Bach Flower Remedies come about? They were born from the realization of Dr Bach that many of our illnesses can stem from an internal imbalance of our emotional states and also from stress. This is where this therapy can be so popular and also effective in modern times, since stress levels in humans have reached phenomenal levels due to work, life and play. Some imbalance and stress can lead to negative feelings which Dr Bach listed as having a total of 38 kinds. Using natural flower essences, the remedies were devised, created, applied and tested on many patients over several years and found to provide incredible results that not only improved their conditions, but in countless cases have also cured them.

As there are 38 negative states that Dr Bach has identified, there are at least 38 different flower remedies that have been created to treat them. Each remedy is used to cater to one specific emotional state, while some have ventured to find combinations that are just as powerful. If one is worried about having side effects or allergies arising from the use of the essences, they should not even consider it. The remedies are usually diluted but that is not the point where it makes them safe to consume. With the sun method being used to dilute them, the boiling will leave large amounts of positive energy and forces in the remedies that are then relied on to battle the ill energies that the emotional imbalances produce in us.

There are also different types of Bach Flower Remedies, one of which is known as the rescue remedy. This is not a special type of homeopathy therapy but one that is based purely on the different flower essences that Dr Bach has given to the world. The Bach flower rescue remedy actually combines 5 different essences, namely the Impatiens, Clematis, Star of Bethlehem, Rock Rose and Cherry Plum, together to create a unique mixture that can be consumed for great healing benefits. There is also an alternative mixture that is combined into a rescue remedy cream. It has an additional essence to the five mentioned previously and that is the Crab Apple essence. The Bach flower rescue remedy is used for common conditions that often result from stress, worry and anxiety.
